8 Months

Charlotte Ann, Little CA, Charli-girl...

Our little energizer bunny, you are filled with excitement nearly ALL. THE. TIME. To you, every day is the BEST day of your life, and we can't help but think so too because your energy is so contagious! You are the smiliest, giggliest, chattiest little lady, and you love entertaining a crowd.

This month, you learned how to push and pull up to standing position using boxes, furniture, human legs, and anything you can get your tiny hands on. Your strong, chubby legs are still a little wobbly, but you are holding your own against that ground under your feet. Your two bottom teeth are peeking their way through, and your little gummy smile lights up your whole face.  You are eating everything we put in front of you (fruits and veggies, mostly pureed), and are always insisting on holding your bottle and sippee cup all by yourself.

This was a month of many fun celebrations!

We attended our friend Morgan's baby shower, and you loved getting to play with your baby friend Hattie while "helping" open gifts and collecting ribbons and tissue paper. It will be so much fun to watch you grow up with the babies of our closest friends, most of who live nearby!

After the shower, you attended your first Easter egg hunt, where you were completely content to sit in the grass under a shade tree and examine brightly colored plastic eggs (that your cousins so kindly removed the candy from, before giving them to you ;) while children ran all around you scurrying to pile eggs into already overflowing baskets.

Easter Sunday was such a joyful day spent together as a family! The weather was cold and raining, but your paisley Easter dress was just too cute too hide under a coat, and you didn't seem to mind... you squealed with delight as your daddy "flew" you across the church parking lot, running to the car as rain sprayed you in the face.

Your 8th month ended with your first airplane flight on a girls' trip with your momma, Mimi, Aunt Lauren, and cousin Liberty. That very memorable trip will require it's own blog post!

Charlotte Ann, you continue to light up our lives! We pray for wisdom (and energy to keep up) as we foster your joyful spirit and train you up to be a little world changer.

Love,
Momma and Daddy
