Four Months!

Charlotte Ann,

If everyone could wake up as happy as you do each morning, the world would be a much brighter place.  You are our little songbird, singing to yourself and cooing in your crib in the early hours of the day.  Then, when you see us peering over your crib, your smile radiates and lights up the room. (Bedtime, however, is a different story... you don't want to miss a thing, and so you are very vocal in protesting sleep.)

You love to listen to yourself sing and babble, and when we catch it on video and play it back for you, you are absolutely captivated.  Your laughter is the best sound to us, and you've started giggling at random. There is just nothing sweeter.

We had been told by different people that you would be a child full of worship, even before you were born, and it's already true.  While most babies your age go to the nursery during church, you love staying with us during worship; you are so peaceful even amidst the live music, and your eyes sparkle as praise fills the room. Then, just like clockwork, you fall asleep the moment the sermon begins and wake up as soon as it ends (no offense to you, Pastor Chris ; )

Such JOY!

As a family, we have started a daily running routine, and you rarely miss a workout!  After work, we pick you up from Mimi and Didi's house and tuck you into the jogging stroller.  You giggle and squeal as we run around the neighborhood lake, and the faster we run, the more excited you get.

Seeing the world from a new angle

This month, you got to see your first snow!  You weren't too keen on being out in it, but it was pretty fascinating to look at through the window from inside your cozy swing by the fireplace.  You experienced your first Thanksgiving, which was spent at your Mammo, Pappo, and Grandma's house. Now, you are discovering the joys of Christmas season, with so many lights to marvel at and our first family trip to the tree farm to select your first Christmas tree!

You are the highlight of each day, worth every sleepless night, and the source of so much laughter in our lives.  Happy FOUR months, Charli girl!
